Ryzen 6000 ROG laptops now in the Philippines

The much-awaited lineup of Ryzen 6000-powered gaming laptops has finally been announced.

The latest versions of the Zephyrus G14, Zephyrus G15, and Zephyrus Duo 16 were unveiled at the ROG Rise of Gamers 2022 digital launch event.

All three come with a host of new upgrades, making them even better for gaming experience.

Ryzen 6000 series

Obviously, the most striking is how they’re all equipped with the new AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors.

Owners can expect better frame rates with up to a Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU and up to 4.9GHz boost clock, as well as two times faster graphics with Radeon iGPU with RDNA technology.

New models for the TUF Gaming A15 and A17, as well as the ROG Strix G15 and G17 – all available in Ryzen 6000 already – complete the lineup.

Zephyrus G14: Your game

Headlining the new lineup, the upgraded Zephyrus G14 has the following specs and features:

  • Up to a Ryzen 9 6900HS processor
  • Up to a Radeon RX 6800 S GPU for up to 105W power and MUX Switch
  • AMD-exclusive technologies such as Smart Access Memory and AMD SmartShift
  • DDR5 4800MHz RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD storage
  • Support for Dolby Vision HDR
  • Thermal Grizzly liquid metal
  • 180-degree Ergolift hinge
  • 2D/3DNR IR-enabled web camera

The G14 will also be one of the first ROG laptops to feature Nebula Display, which offers a 120Hz refresh rate at QHD with a 3ms response time and Adaptive-Sync.

There will be six specific models to choose from starting at PhP 119,995, available from the third quarter of 2022.

Zephyrus G15: Upgraded for 2022

One of last year’s best gaming laptops also come in refreshed with a host of new improvements, and sports the following specs and features:

  • Up to a Ryzen 9 6900HS processor
  • Up to an NDIVIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU for up to 120W power and MUX Switch
  • DDR5 RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage
  • Improved keyboard, larger trackpad
  • 180-degree Ergolift hinge
  • 2D/3DNR IR-enabled web camera

The 2022 edition now comes with a remarkable QHD 240Hz refresh rate to support the fastest of actions.

The display is also Dolby Vision certified and Pantone Validated.

With six models to choose from, the G15 will likewise retail starting at Q3 2022 from PhP 129,995.

Zephyrus Duo 16: Even more powerful

Lastly, the Duo 16 will be more seamless to use as ASUS has removed the gap between the main screen and the secondary ScreenPad Plus.

As usual, users may keep their favorite apps open on the secondary screen while gaming – never having to worry about minimizing windows.

Like the G14, the Duo 16’s main display has been upgraded to a 16:10 aspect ratio on a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio.

It has a QHD 165Hz refresh rate with up to 1100 nits of peak brightness.

Specs and features include:

  • Up to a Ryzen 9 6900HX processor
  • Up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU with up to 165W power and MUX Switch
  • DDR5 4800MHz memory, up to 4TB PCIe Gen4x4 storage
  • Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal

Available starting in late June, the Duo 16 GX650RW will retail for PhP 254,995 while the Duo 16 GX650RX is priced at PhP 319,995.

Strix, TUF models get upgrades too

Meanwhile, the Strix G15 and G17 have expanded to nine options total, while the TUF Gaming A15 and A17 now have eight variants to pick from.

There is a new color option too for the Strix G series: Electro Punk.

All models have likewise received significant upgrades, such as:

  • Up to a Ryzen 9 6900HX (Strix G) or a Ryzen 7 6800H (TUF) processor
  • Up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with MUX Switch (Strix G) or up to a 140W RTX 3070 GPU with MUX Switch (TUF)

The bang-for-your-buck TUF line now also have DDR5 RAM and up to a Full HD 300hz Adaptive Sync display.

Laptops from the Strix G and TUF lines range from PhP 67,995 to PhP 164,995.
