JBL recently announced new microphone and speaker products called the Quantum Stream and the Party Encore Box Essential, respectively.

A new portable speaker and gaming microphone from JBL

First, is the Quantum Stream, a gaming microphone. It is a microphone with a 2 x 14mm dual capsule Electret condenser and has a 24-bit and 96kHz sampling rate.

JBL says it has two voice pick-up patterns that you can switch between a cardioid mic for a single voice and the omnidirectional mic mode capable of capturing multiple voices or even a live performance.

It also has a mute button, volume control with voice monitoring, and RGB illumination below that works in conjunction with the mute button to indicate whether you are being heard. It also has a 360-degree rotating aluminum reversible stand with JBL QuantumENGINE software for enhanced control over features like voice EQ, RGB color, and polar pattern selection.

Moreover, it also includes a reversible aluminum stand with 360-degree movement and support for JBL QuantumENGINE software for additional control over features such as voice EQ, RGB color, and polar pattern selection.
The Party Box Encore Essential
The Partybox Encore Essential

The next product is the JBL Partybox Encore Essential. This is the company's "most compact compact" party speaker. 

As you can see in the photos it has a cubed-shaped rugged design with RGB lighting at the center. The lights are also in sync with the music playing. It also has a built-in mini handle at the top and has an IPX4 rating for splash and dust protection.

Inside it has a 1 x 5.25-inch woofer and 2 x 1.75-inch tweeter. Although it has a small form factor it is capable of 100W power output and 100-240 VAC/50/60Hz. In addition, it has a frequency response of 50Hz - 20k Hz at -6 decibels.

For the battery, they equipped it with 17.76WHr capacity which JBL says is equivalent to 3.7V 4,800mAh size and should last up to 6 hours depending on the volume level and audio content. Apparently, it has 3.5 hours of charging time.

Connectivity-wise, it has Bluetooth 5.1, USB, and AUX ports. There's also an app that lets users modify the lights according to the theme of the event.

Lastly, it is also capable of syncing with other Partybox speakers for a bigger audio experience.

The new microphone will be available starting early June at their website and select retailers. While the Partybox will be available online and in stores on June 30,2022.
