Samsung’s The Frame to display artworks from National Gallery Singapore

Samsung Electronics announced a collaboration with the National Gallery Singapore that will bring a curated selection of prominent artworks from the museum to customers’ “The Frame” TV via the Samsung Art Store.

10 artworks from Singapore’s leading visual arts institution will be made available via the Samsung Art Store. This expands the lifestyle TV’s collection of over 1,600 artworks from 54 global partners.

The Frame allows consumers to enjoy high-resolution masterpieces from museums and galleries worldwide right in front of their screens.

The growing list of museums include the following:

  • Louvre Museum in France
  • Albertina Museum in Vienna
  • Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam
  • Leeum Museum of Art in South Korea

Rich Southeast Asian art heritage

With the collaboration, Samsung will offer all The Frame owners a peek into Singapore and Southeast Asian art.

The region’s diverse cultures are reflected in the wide range of artworks for users to enjoy.

The selection includes works by prominent artists, including Market Place by Chen Chong Swee, Boschbrand (Forest Fire) by Raden Saleh, Jetty at Sinde by U Ba Nyan, Singapore Waterfront by Georgette Chen, Barber by Ong Kim Seng, and more.

There are also plans to expand the collection for The Frame users in the future.

Elevate your TV experience

The Frame is part of Samsung’s Lifestyle TV lineup, designed to deliver both exceptional visual quality and elevate living environments as it features Samsung’s Quantum Dot technology and Quantum Processor 4K.

The TV has a customizable bezel design with a slim 24.9mm profile. The new model will come with a Matte Display which further eliminates glare.

Users can also choose to mount the TV on its Simple Stand or Studio Stand to complement spaces at home.

The Frame will feature an updated Art Store with a simpler and easier-to-navigate interface, plus a greater selection of artworks around the globe.

For those who want to display pictures with loved ones or relive personal memories, The Frame also has a My Photo feature for that, using smartphones or USB flash drives.
