Sony donates USD 2 million to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine & neighboring countries

Sony Group Corporation announced Thursday that they will be donating a total of USD 2 million to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine and countries in the region.

To collect donations from Sony Group employees, too

Sony announced that the donation will be given to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and the international NGO Save the Children. 

In addition to the USD 2 million donations, Sony Group companies around the world will also collect donations from its employees and match the amounts raised. The UNHCR and Save the Children will disseminate the help in Ukraine and neighboring countries.

Sony sincerely hopes that this situation will be resolved quickly and that peace will be restored in Ukraine and around the world, said the Japanese giant in a press release.

Sony also said that these donations and programs are being done to help the efforts of the global organizations providing relief directly to those in need.
