Samsung devices, Apple iPhone perform fastest on Smart according to Ookla

According to a report by Ookla, Apple iPhones and Samsung smartphones showed faster connectivity when connected via Smart network.

Ookla reports faster connectivity for Samsung and iPhone devices via Smart

According to Ookla's analysis of Speedtest Intelligence data from Q4 2021, Apple iPhones using the Smart 5G or 4G/LTE network perform up to 1.8 times faster than iPhones connected to other network providers.

Samsung devices linked to Smart 5G, on the other hand, perform up to 1.8 times quicker, while Samsung devices connected to Smart 4G/LTE perform up to 1.9 times faster than Samsung devices connected to other network providers.

Furthermore, Android smartphones are up to 1.8 times quicker on Smart 5G and up to 1.4 times faster on Smart 4G/LTE - than Android devices linked to other network providers.

Apple iPhones connected to Smart 5G had an average download speed of 208.88 Mbps and an average upload speed of 19.61 Mbps, according to Ookla's Q4 2021 report, whereas iPhones connected to Smart's nearest competition had 112.72 Mbps down and 9.57 Mbps up, respectively.

Furthermore, Samsung smartphones connected to Smart 5G scored an average download speed of 239.12 Mbps and an average upload speed of 25.58 Mbps compared to Smart's nearest competitor achieved 127.67 Mbps and 11.52 Mbps, respectively.

Lastly, Apple iPhones connected to Smart 4G/LTE had a median download speed of 49.35 Mbps and a median upload speed of 7.47 Mbps, compared to 26.64 Mbps and 4.90 Mbps for iPhones connected to Smart's nearest competition.

Samsung smartphones on Smart 4G/LTE also had a median download speed of 36.39 Mbps and a median upload speed of 7.79 Mbps, compared to 18.75 Mbps and 4.39 Mbps on competitors.

Meanwhile, Android smartphones linked to Smart 5G had a median download speed of 227.50 Mbps and a median upload speed of 24.78 Mbps, compared to 122.9 Mbps and 11.65 Mbps for Android devices connected to Smart's nearest rival.

Finally, Android smartphones linked to Smart 4G/LTE had a median download speed of 22.2 Mbps and a median upload speed of 6.63 Mbps, compared to 16.28 Mbps and 6.25 Mbps for Android devices connected to competitors.
