In early February, we reported that WinFuture posted alleged renders and specs of the upcoming new flagship Find X series smartphone from OPPO. The render of the alleged flagship depicts the design with the 'co-developed with HASSELBLAD' on the phone's screen.

A few weeks later, OPPO officially confirms its three-year partnership with Hasselblad thru Weibo and thru its website. Hasselblad is a professional camera manufacturer from Sweden. Back in 2018, Chinese aerial photography and drone manufacturer DJI acquired a majority stake in the company. This announcement comes a year after OnePlus announced a three-year partnership with Hasselblad

Attached to the announcement is an image depicting soil that is reminiscent of the Moon's surface with an imprint of a smartphone's rear profile. This is similar to the famous footprint left behind on the moon.

The imprint on the soil is very similar to the back profile of the phone in the render posted by WinFuture. In the same leak, WinFuture claims that the upcoming Find X flagship will be called the OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G. It will allegedly have a 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus Protection and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Inside will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G SoC, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging thru USB-C.

At the back will be a 50MP f/1.7 main camera, 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with a Time-of-Flight sensor and an LED flash. While in front is a 32MP f/2.4 selfie camera.

OPPO is expected to announce the new flagship Find X smartphone during the first quarter of 2022.
