OnePlus 10 Pro breaks in half during JerryRigEverything test

The OnePlus 10 Pro is the company's hotly-anticipated flagship of the year. To see if it is durable, JerryRigEverything decided to put its toughness to the test.

Oh no! OnePlus 10 Pro snapped in half?!

Snapped in half? OnePlus 10 Pro fails durability test!

The burn test!

During the test, the OnePlus 10 Pro fared very well with the screen scratch test given its Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It was able to withstand scratches until Level 6 and had deeper damage at Level 7. With its aluminum frame and buttons, it proves to be tough against scratches and bumps. There is no official IP rating with only a rubber gasket via the SIM card tray providing rudimentary water protection.

During the burn test, the OnePlus 10 Pro faced the mighty lighter. The AMOLED screen was able to last 40 seconds before getting fried. It did not recover after though. This is to be expected though.

However, the OnePlus 10 Pro failed big time during the bend test. During the test, the back gave in to cracks first when bent inwards. Bent outwards, it just totally snaps in half. This means that the OnePlus 10 Pro is susceptible to back pocket breakage.

To recap, YouTube channel JerryRigEverything is the authority when it comes to durability tests. It has formulated a tried-and-tested set of tests meant to put the device's toughness through its paces. Screen scratching, bending, and even burning are included.
