Next iPhone SE might be a lot cheaper than last model

Apple and exorbitant price tags. Name a better duo. Despite the competitive prices of its Android counterparts, the iPhone maker has kept its prices at a premium high. Thankfully, one lineup, the iPhone SE series, is selling an Apple experience for considerably less. According to a new rumor, the next iPhone SE will have an even smaller price tag when it launches this year.

As noted by investment analyst John Donovan, the cheaper iPhone will reportedly launch with a US$ 300 price tag. For comparison, the current model sells for a larger US$ 399 price tag. Though the current model is still relatively cheap, the upcoming model’s rumored price tag is a huge step forward in offering a competitive iPhone experience for users. Throw in the possibility that the upcoming model will have 5G compatibility, and you have a deal.

However, countering the new rumor, another source refutes that the next device will still have the same US$ 399. Regardless of who wins the rumor war, customers will get a winning deal. As mentioned, the next iPhone SE is set to come with 5G compatibility. US$ 300 or US$ 399, it’s still the cheapest iPhone to come with 5G.

Apple will reportedly launch the new iPhone SE during an event in April, much like the last model back in 2020.
