Huawei champions Super Device system at MWC 2022

Super what now? Huawei turned its focus to its Super Device system during their MWC 2022 stage in Barcelona, Spain. But what is it exactly? Essentially, Huawei gave its connected ecosystem a fancy name which is Super Device.

How we got here

Huawei detailed how they built their whole connected ecosystem of devices, which they now call Super Device. In 2018, they introduced the OneHop feature for connection and file sharing between Huawei phones and PCs. In 2020, they released a Multi-screen Collaboration feature that allows a phone to be displayed as a window on a connected tablet or PC. Then in 2021, they enabled Huawei PCs, smartphones, tablets, and smart screens to form a Super Device for better collaboration.

One device could be connected to another after their icons are dragged together, forming a Super Device system. This allows each device to serve as a functional module so that their capabilities and resources can be shared.

The idea is a user has access to all their necessary files in each of their Huawei devices while sharing the capabilities of all these devices. It will work with existing Huawei devices so long as their Huawei PC Manager app is updated to the latest version.
