TECNO earlier introduced a new budget smartphone in Nigeria called the POVA Neo.

Coming from the POVA 2, the POVA Neo has a slightly smaller screen and lower-end specs.
The device uses a 6.8-inch HD+ notch screen, MTK's old Helio P22 chip, 4G RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and a large 6,000mAh battery capacity with up to 17 hours playing time and 18W Flash Charge via USB-C port.
For cameras, it uses a 13MP main cam plus an AI camera with Quad LED flash. In front, you will find an 8MP snapper for selfies with Dual Flash.
The device also has a rear fingerprint scanner, WiFi, 4G LTE, and Android 11-based HiOS 7.6 skin with Gaming Space, Film Album, Document Auto-rotate Manager, Voice Changer, Peek Proof, Vault 2.0, Kids Mode, and phone cloner.

The device retails for NGN 72,500 which is around PHP 8.9K out of straight conversion.
This is expensive for a device with weaker specs than the capable PHP 7,990 POVA 2 with a more powerful Helio G85 SoC, 6.9-inch 1080p+ screen, and 7,000mAh battery.
