During the Global Mobile Camera Trends 2022: Innovation Talk webinar, TECNO Mobile disclosed that it has developed three new mobile camera technologies namely, RGBW/G+P, Sensor Shift, and Telescopic Lens.

TECNO says that by Q1 2022, it will have products on the market that will allow users to take studio-quality photos and videos even without professional training. This will be made possible with its future smartphones housing its latest camera technologies.

First, there's the RGBW/G+P technology for better light sensitivity. "G+P" stands for Glass+Plastic lens technology. This combined with TECNO's very own RGBW sub-pixel rendering algorithm results in an overall 200 percent increase in light captured. This will improve the low-light imaging experience for consumers.

The TECO Sensor Shift Technology is an image stabilization technology that uses sensor movements instead of lens movements to compensate for vibrations. Lastly, there's the new Telescopic Lens that will have a large aperture and continuous lossless zoom. Consumers will now experience better quality for profiles and telephotograph. It also has a compressed back focal length (BFL) design with motorized stretchable lenses that will significantly reduce the thickness of the phone,
