PLDT and Smart Odette assistance!

PLDT will be providing rebates to its customers impacted by the Typhoon in the Visayas in Mindanao. PLDT said that eligible customers will receive bill rebates notified by SMS.


Meanwhile, Smart is currently giving calamity load assistance to those most severely impacted in Visayas and Mindanao. There will be free calls and charging services to keep them connected.

In particular, Smart has also set up a total of eight Libreng Tawag/ Libreng Charging Stations and WiFi stations across Visayas and Mindanao as well.

There will be no disconnection of service due to non-payment of bills for Smart subscribers until January 2022 as well.

Impacted customers in Visayas and Mindanao will not be required to pay for any service fees incurred during the days they experienced connectivity disruptions during typhoon Odette, said Cathy Yap-Yang, First Vice President and Group Head, Corporate Communications, PLDT and Smart. Furthermore, there will be no disconnection of service due to non-payment until January next year, and the rebate that we will credit will be reflected in our customers’ January/February 2022 billing.

PLDT and Smart are currently restoring the services in the area.
