This is what the Pixel 6a might look like

The new Pixel 6 series is all about pushing boundaries. The flagship series unveiled the company’s first in-house processors. With the new Tensor chipset, Google looks to build the new generation of its smartphones. After the aforementioned series’ launch, the company is already setting its sights towards future phones. With currently known leaks and details, here’s what the upcoming Pixel 6a might look like.

As rendered by @OnLeaks’ Steve Hemmerstoffer, the midrange Pixel 6 variant will reportedly look much more similar to its bigger siblings. For one, the Pixel 6a will not have a headphone jack. If that rendered detail is true, it will be the first midrange Google phone to not come with the feature.

The render also depicts a phone without a fingerprint sensor, potentially hinting that the variant will have an under-screen fingerprint sensor. Armed with new features, the Pixel 6a will likely bring more flagship features to the midrange tier.

Also, as expected for a smartphone of its caliber, the Pixel 6a will be smaller than the usual Pixel 6 series. It will supposedly have a 6.2-inch screen, compared to the Pixel 6’s 6.4-inch screen and the Pixel 6 Pro’s 6.7-inch screen.

Finally, the Pixel 6a will share the same design as its recently released predecessors. It will have the same camera strip at its rear. The new design is certainly a divisive decision given how different it is from normal slab phones. Regardless, it looks like Pixel fans will have to get used to the design going forward.

Since the Pixel 6 series was just released, the Pixel 6a will likely take a while to finally launch in markets.
