Nothing’s first TWS earbuds will have 24-hour battery

When Carl Pei announced his first venture after OnePlus, it was shrouded in mystery. Simply called Nothing, the new business showed no indication as to what it was working on except for a hard focus on audio products. However, as time passed, Pei is slowly drip-feeding the world with little tidbits about the company’s first product. The CEO has already revealed the upcoming Nothing ear (1). Now, we have a few more details about the wearable.

According to Pei, the wearable will come in a semi-transparent case, rivalling its competitor’s opaque cases. Further, the case will have a 570mAh battery capable of fast wired and wireless charging capabilities.

Pei boasts that the battery can last up to 24 hours with active noise cancellation enabled. Without the setting enabled, it can go for up to 36 hours. Because of the fast charging, a 10-minute charge can power the battery for up to 6 to 8 hours. It’s a massive claim especially for power users.

Nothing is expected to launch the ear (1) on Tuesday next week, July 27. It will be the company’s first launch since its founding earlier this year.

After that launch, Pei says that the company is already set to launch another device by the end of the year. Unfortunately, though the CEO is wont to reveal more information about the ear (1), he is keeping mum about the second one.
